The Japanese spirit of dedication and self-discipline in facing the disaster has taught us a valuable lesson in life. This is certainly not any armchair strategy.

The Cherry Blossom still blooms.

The 311 earthquake in Japan – though had taken away precious life and souls but it has awakened the senses in us.

This unfortunate natural disaster that struck the northeastern part of Japan – seemed to have thrown a big mess on Japan, seemed to have crumbled the economy of Japan, seemed to have slowed down the pace of Japan, and seemed to have broken the confidence of Japanese. Being one of the three most influential economies in the world, the sorrow and pain of Japan is felt throughout the world across all borders and even every type of industry is affected in a one way or another. It’s hard to imagine the after effects of this natural disaster in Japan.

The Japanese spirit of dedication and self-discipline in facing the disaster has taught us a valuable lesson in life. This is certainly not any armchair strategy.

A disaster has brought about the dignity of a nation and its appeal is felt across the globe. The Japanese people have shown the world the meaning of resilience. The world watched in amazement at the civility and patriotic sense, a culture so well instilled in the Japanese.

While they are still in the midst of rescuing the survivors, they have already started to rebuild their society on the other hand. And it is the whole country that put all their hands to work. At this juncture, I am very confident that the Japanese will have a fast recovery not only from the physical damages but also the emotional trauma – they’ll be back on track soon.

While the world sympathizes with Japan and everyone wishes to do something to help Japan. Well, I feel that if we can do anything within our means in terms of money and effort – it’ll be remarkable. Or even a sincere wish from the heart for the quick recovery of Japan is good enough to channel the positive energy to them. Despite the calamities of tsunami, earthquake and nuclear explosion, the cherry blossoms of Japan continued to bloom and filled the air with its fresh colours. Today, we wish that the vibrant blooms of the cherry blossoms will bring hopes to the Japanese and a happy tomorrow in the world.

To all the “Nihon-jin” we share this world with you. We are glad to have you with us.
