Are you captivated by the characteristically white house perched on the hills?

Or mesmerised by the iconic blue skies, white cumulous and deep blue waters of the Aegean seas?

In fact, what fascinated us in Mykonos are not only blues and whites.Lazing under the bougainvilleas another enchanting romantic encounter in Mykonos.

With a handful of in-depth experience in the blue & white world of Mykonos, Desomond Lee-san is ready to roll out a 3D2N fun itinerary for Mykonos. With breathtaking views, alleys in a web of maze, Mediterranean cuisine, red wine, local drink Ouzo 45% alcohol, nudist beach and a motorcycle or jeep to wreck fun over the 87 sq km Mykonos. Despite all the fun and excitement, Mykonos is still very much a romantic place.

The Blue Star Ferries specialised in bringing tourists to the Aegean Sea islands, hitting more than 3 million passengers from March to end October.

Blue skies and white clouds, aren’t they enchanting?

Enchanting Mykonos.

Last May, with sun-block UV50 splashed over their faces, Lee-san and his 33 trip members went all out to “conquer” the island of Mykonos which receives more than 2600 hours of sunshine every year.

In fact, Mykonos is the most beautiful in its hottest months but it may not be well favoured by our Malaysian visitors. Anyway, we are not in Greece only for this venue. As a matter of fact, whenever we travel, we have to endure the facts of nature. For all you know, a surprise might be awaiting you just around the corner.

In order to avoid the expensive peak season in June-September, we opted to travel to Mykonos in May. No doubt there are not as many blue skies in May but checking-in the high class resort of Porto Mykonos is really worth the trade-off for a few days of blue skies. Two nights stay in bay view villa rooms with a fascinating view of the 8pm sunset …. Lee-san and his troupe were all thrilled over. The month of May is also a month of refurbishment. As required by local regulations, every household has to whitewash their walls yearly to maintain the characteristics of their architecture. Even the bougainvillea blooms join in the festive mood with their colourful petals. White houses with blue windows perched on the hills overlooking the sea, bathed with more than 2,600 hours of sunshine per year, delectable Mediterranean cuisine and loads of fun; all these made Mykonos Island the destination of choice not only for the Greeks but also travellers of the world.

Located at the Aegean sea of Greece, this little island of Mykonos was a once a forlorn and conservative island. Initially it was the pirates and now we the tourists made it famous. Perched on the hill are five windmills known as Kato Myli, packed on the slopes are whitewashed houses with blue frames windows, hanging out of the walled fences are xx blooms and trapped in the maze ofalleys are the fun loving tourists like us. The friendly locals were always ready to help us out but this group of tourists loved being lost in the maze that was once meant to trap the pirates. What reallytrapped us stay in the maze were the colourful souvenir shops, the mouth-watering snacks, yummyice-cream, aromatic coffee, delicious Mediterranean cuisines with white wine and the mesmerizingsunset. It’s such a perfect setting for romance.

Packed on the slopes overlooking the sea, houses with white-washed walls and blue windows are a unique taste of Mykonos. Just any time, any angle – they are just as gorgeous.
