1. Since the occurrence of H7N9 bird flu in some part of East China in March, the Chinese government has been working closely with the World Health Organization(WHO) through making joint efforts to put the spread of the disease under control while, at the same time, keeping all related information transparent.
So far, WHO has not issued any advice on taking measures limiting travel to and from China. The Chinese government including China National Tourism Administration(CNTA) has not, up to date, issued any travel warning to incoming travel and tourism.
2. On April 20, 2013, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck the county of Lushan, Ya`an City, Sichuan Province, southwest of China. Through facing a high-degree tremor, the local authorities has conducted timely and effective relief work. There is little or no influence on the most-visited tourist cities and provinces by foreign tourists. Even in Chengdu, tourists scenic spots and attractions are not affected.
