Travel agency celebrates anniversary with pledge to further improve service

Employees of travel agency Apple Vacations celebrated their 20th anniversary with a pledge to up the ante in providing the best tours and services to customers.

Themed “Belief” with the tagline “One is Never Easy, Together We’re Ok”, the event at Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur saw employees working together as a team for their performances.

Apple Group of Companies executive chairman Datuk Seri Lee Ee Hoe, also known as Lee San, promised to continue to enhance the quality of the company’s tours and services.

“Apple Vacations is successful because of the support from our customers and we wouldn’t have made it this far without them.

“We will continue to put our heart and soul into bringing more exciting and innovative tours to our customers,” said Lee.

The travel agency has also set a target of having a 500-strong workforce from the current number of over 200 employees by 2018.

The company also aims to achieve an annual revenue of RM1bil and become a public-listed company.

Apple Group of Companies group managing director Datuk Seri Koh Yock Heng said in an effort to upgrade the quality of their services, the company has been communicating with the national tourism organisations of several countries.

Apple Vacations will also be partnering with international travel and tour agencies to keep up with the latest travel trends and stay ahead of the market.

“We want to educate Malaysians to enjoy thematic and in-depth tours as it is fun and they get to experience more,” said Koh.

At the event, guests also witnessed Lee and famous Hong Kong food critic, columnist and television host Chua Lam strengthening their ties.

The two became godbrothers after meeting at Chua’s 70th birthday dinner in Kuala Lumpur and have since formed a close relationship.

Over the years, they have been on tours to Hokkaido, Taiwan and Fukui together, and this year, they will be travelling to South Korea in March.
