1. Tell us about Apple Muslim Holidays.
Apple Muslim Holidays was established in 2008 where we shifted from the old building to Wisma Apple at Jalan Sultan Ismail at the heart of KL. Started off with 3 persons in a team and today we have 7 persons.
THE CHALLENGE – Being in a very unique department where we bring our Muslim fellow travelers to the “Chopstick Countries such as Japan first of all, Korea and China”. As we know Apple Vacations first and foremost are the experts of these countries, hence this is the best way to experience the culture in its totality “fusing” in the importance of a “Halal Tour”. This is where we come in!
REAPING THE FRUITS and sowing more – The confidence built on our “Melancong Tanpa Was Was” tours. We now have many loyal and repeat customers. As they know that Apple Muslim arranges the best tour itinerary and arrangements.
2. What makes Apple Muslim special?
We are one of the professional tour consultants which gives exclusivity. In terms of local Halal cuisine (we do not bring you to eat Halal Malaysian cuisine abroad), not erasing the ultimate experience of the destination which one travels to. Yes it is true that our packages are a little more on the premium side, but on the other hand the value of the arrangements from your hotels, to the comfort of the transportation, and the Halal food. For our Muslim travelers, they do not have to worry, as we specially arrange for our customers the prayer times at the local mosque of the destination. Surprisingly the mosque takes on the local cultural elements of the architecture. This in itself is a marvel.
On Apple Muslim tours we will prepare “wakaf” or donations from the Malaysian mosque or surau’s to be donated to the local mosque at the respective destination. This is unique unto us, regardless of where we are, we are connected as brothers and sisters in Islam. At destinations in Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan, these are few examples we arrange our tours to also meet with the local Muslim communities. Where the stark difference in cultural is apparent but we are all one in our hearts.
3. What are the top destinations currently by Apple Muslim Holiday?
I must say it is still currently Japan and Korea. As it is our forte and also going with the times. Japan is our hardcore product as well. Number one it is easily reachable with the many flights offered. Second is the uniqueness of the Muslim tours, we have Malay tour guides who are based there! Naturally they do speak the local language of Japanese and Korean!
4. What are your favorites destinations?
In love with Italy! Who isn’t! No doubt it is known as an iconic Christian country, but do you know in the “surah” (in the Quran) there is a chapter on Rome! There is so much more to introduce about Islam’s role in Rome and its early civilization, each time when we travel there.
Turkey the land between two continents is also my favorite. Istanbul itself has a rich history of Islamic civilization in its early days, during the Ottoman empire. A melting pot of Islamic history, culture and grand architecture.
Korea! Annyeonghaseyo! This is the very first country I visited a week after I joined Apple Muslim Holiday. Hence it holds a very special place in my heart with bittersweet memories! 10 years back, I was wowed by its modernization and technology at that time. I am amazed in 10 years the country as grown exponentially in the tourism sector as well as the Muslim tour sector.
5. What are the new destinations which you would like to introduce?
Russia! One of the largest country by landmass in the world, sitting on the Europe and Asia continent. It is a very interesting country, a road less traveled by many Malaysian Muslim. As it is perceived as a Christian country. But journey with Apple Muslim to the beautiful Moscow Cathedral Mosque the main mosque in Russia, St. Petersburg Square and many other destination infused with Islamic history. Covering Kazakhstan as well.
I think the Malaysian Muslims today are ready to take on this challenge to explore the world and its exotic places, proving that we are modern and our perspective has broadened. With Apple Muslims expertise and arrangements, one do not have to worry when it comes to the Muslims observations.
