If there are only two words that I can use to describe this place – it has to be unique and magnificent! This wonderful place Saujana Hijau resembles an ambience of a cool
European high country the moment I stepped foot on it. This 41 hectare public park is located at Putrajaya’s Precinct 11 and managed by Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPJ).
Many species of plants ranging from the creeping plants to the big woody trunks filled the park with lush greenery. Apart from the tropical hard woods, there are also the pines and casuarinas covering the small hills and undulating curves.
The peak of Saujana Hijau not only provides visitors with a panoramic view of the natural surroundings in Putrajaya, it is also a favourite backdrop for portraitures and wedding photo shoots that exudes a Western-like ambience.
Strolling in the Saujana Hijau is a relaxing experience. You may take short breaks at the beautifully crafted gazebos with designs like the Nusantara (Malay) theme, Oriental theme and the English theme. The walking paths are lined with wooden fences that look like the ranches of the west. Whether you are here for walking, jogging or cycling, there are tracks for these activities. You may bring your own bicycles or rent them from PPJ.
