The Moroccan Kingdom (Morocco, المغرب) is nestled at the most Northwestern part of Africa, the Atlantic ocean flows on the eastern side Morocco and on her west it is found bordering Algeria, traveling down south you find the famed Western Sahara and Mauritania, and the North faces the Mediterranean countries of Portugal and Spain with the Strait of Gibraltar across the middle. Due to its location and history, the locals converse in a melting pot of language such as Arabic, English to French and Spanish.

If one would like to trace the history of Morocco, one would have to go as far back as 500,000 years ago. At that time, Morocco was the main artery connecting all of Africa and Europe. In the 7th century, the Arabs established the Kingdom hence the introduction of Islam begins. From here forward she was ruled respective Arabic and Berber dynasties. By the 15th century, Morocco was invaded by the Europeans. By the early 20th century. Morocco was one of the main reasons for disputes leading up to World War One. After Morocco became independent in March 1956, peace finally returned till present day.

Due to its unique location and landscape, Morocco has a very diverse climate. From the north to the south the climate varies from the MAditerranean winds, to the subtropicalmountain climate and the tropical desert climate.
Despite the diversity of its climate, it gives Morocco a surprisingly pleasant climate all year round, creating a unique geological environment which gives birth to a beautiful landscape, hence the earned well known moniker of the beautiful “Garden of North Africa”.

The way of life, customs and culture is fascinatingly unique unto Morocco only, making it a much sought after jewel in histories past. Islam is the official religion, you are able to tell from their lives and working schedules which resolves around the religious teaching. But there is a difference unlike other nations of the same faith, as tourists we only need to respect and understand hence removing any doubt about exploring this exotic land.

Moroccan are famous for their local crafts such as their delicacy, the fine woodwork and ceramics, weaving intricate designs of Moroccan carpets and many more. Not only are they gorgeous and beautiful but it also shows the unique culture and influence from its Iberian, European, Berber and Islamic from centuries past which leaves a legacy passed down till today.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Kuala Lumpur has the honor to inform that Malaysia and Morocco signed the Agreement of the Partial Abolition of Visa Requirement here on July 19, 2017, which comes into force on December 27, 2017. For the holders of all Malaysian diplomatic, official and ordinary passports will be able to visit Morocco for 90 days for official, business or social purposes, without the requirement of a visa beginning December 27, 2017.
