Apple Vacations uses Turkish Airlines for tours covering Turkey, The Balkans, Russia, and parts of Scandinavia. This year also marks the 5th year anniversary of the Malaysian based ticketing office by Turkish Airlines.
Turkish Airlines was established in 1933, having won four awards last year; “Best Airline in Southern Europe”, “Best Business Class Onboard Catering”, “World’s Best Business Class Lounge”, and “Best Business Class Dining Lounge” in the Skytrax World Airline Awards. The airlines have been flying passengers to destinations covering Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas for the past 84 years. Coming as no surprise, as the carrier is known as the largest carrier in the world by the number of destinations, a 120 countries in total. Serving passengers with a wide selection of Airbus aircraft ranging from Airbus A340-300, A330-300, A330-200, A321-200, A320-200, A319-132/100, A300-600F, A310-300F, and Boeings such as B777-300 ER, B737-800, B737-700, B747-400F, B777F. A total of 329 air crafts.
The airlines is currently head quartered in Istanbul Atatürk International Airport, and there will be plans on moving in the near future, once Instanbul’s third and latest airport, dubbed the world’s largest terminal under one roof will be completed on time, Turkey’s Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan. Which the first phase of the new airport is scheduled to be officially opening on 29th October, in tandem with the celebration of the Republic Day of Turkey. Upon completion, the new airport will assume most of the passenger traffic from Ataturk International Airport, hosting 250 airlines flying to more than 350 destinations, making it one of the world’s largest transport hubs.
