Early-bird tour prices
WITH the country’s borders reopening, life gradually returns to what it was before the pandemic and travel-related businesses are also committed to tourism recover plans.
To coincide with the MATTA Fair, Apple Vacations offers a series of popular itineraries and special tours with more in-depth experiences. Apple Vacations group managing director Datuk Seri Koh Yock Heng disclosed the outbound travel market is more inclined to small groups or group tours as travellers are still concerned about the uncertainties and travel restrictions.
Koh said that the pandemic affected the ecological and supply chains of tourism. For example, airlines reduced flights resulting in a 30% to 50% increase in airfares, while group tour rates have increased by about 20% to 30%.
Koh said that Apple Vacations focused on three major aspects at the travel fair, which are: (1)Europe such as Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, France, Hungary, Czech Republic, Turkey and the Middle East region in Dubai/Abu Dhabi and more; (2)Japan, Korea and Vietnam; and (3)Leesan series, such as the In-Depth Tour of Hokkaido and Tunisia. Apple Vacations group executive chairman, Dato’Sri Lee Ee Hoe JP, is better known among his peers as Leesan.
In addition, Apple Vacations’ highlights include the ever-popular and exclusive “Apple Charter Flight to Hokkaido” tour, with early-bird discounts between RM600 and RM1,000(terms and conditions apply).
Koh reminded the public to be vigilant and cautious when purchasaing tour pacages from travel agencies. Recently, unscruputous people have been using Apaple Vacations advertisements, travel packages, photos and information to sell on online platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
