Department of Tourism, Taoyuan City Government officials and the Tourism Bureau partners paid a visit to Wisma Apple

(17th October, Kuala Lumpur) Department of Tourism, Taoyuan City Government and the Tourism Bureau together with the partners have visited Wisma Apple. Hosted by Apple Group Managing Director Dato’ Sri’ Koh Yock Heng (Koh San), this visit is in hopes for future co-operation between the two parties.

Taiwan’s first stop is Taoyuan

Anyone flying into Taipei must enter or exit through Taoyuan. It is also where many travelers first step foot on Taiwan soil, making it the most convenient geographic location in Taiwan. However upon arrival at Taipei-Taoyuan International Airport, visitors will be whisked away for their leisure holidays, unless it is because of spending a night near the airport due to certain circumstances. It is usually not a place where tourists will choose to stay and explore Taiwan from.

On the contrary, Taoyuan is actually a destination full with tourism spots waiting to be discovered. With its natural sights and landscape, religious buildings, diversified cultures as well as local arts and crafts. All belonging to what can only be found in Taoyuan.

Department of Tourism, Taoyuan Director-General Mr. Yang Sheng-Ping said that before there was no facilities from Taoyuan such as the MRT, but now this facility is made available. Enhancing passengers experience, creating convenience and flexibility in planning their journey and travels. Traveling free and easy made possible. Therefore his main objective of this years visit is to introduce and promote beautiful Taoyuan and to also penetrate into the Muslim market in hopes to attract more tourists from Malaysia.

According to Apple Group Managing Director Dato’ Sri’ Koh Yock Heng (Koh San), 10 years ago Apple Vacations has only organized FIT travels as the main trip to Taiwan. This is due to the limited availability of flights into Taiwan from Kuala Lumpur.
