Universal Studios Japan THE MINIONS WATER SURPRISE PARADE ! Summer ☼ Festival 2017

The Minion Water Surprise Parade is one of the major highlights of this year’s summer. Happening only once a day for the duration of 45 minutes, it usually takes place approximately 2pm local time. Hence if you happen to be visiting Universal Studios Japan in a sunny weather make sure to catch the Minion Water Parade!

About 30 minutes before the scheduled event, the crowds have started to form by the pavement or on the main theater grassland. Picking the best spot to view the parade. Hence is the highlight of it. At 2pm you can already hear the crowds and music cheering, from the main stage there are the dancers to entertain you as you await the procession of the Minion on the flotilla and its colourful dancing entourage to come your way!

And finally when the flotilla arrived, you can practically hear the crowds go wild, people dancing in the sun along the music blasting off the speakers, people holding up smartphones and cameras either lifestreaming, recording or taking pictures. The flotillas starts with the famed Universal Studios globe followed by many beautiful gilded dancers on other flotillas, You can hear the crowds cheer louder when they spot the Minions dancing on the flotillas of world famous landmarks such as Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty and many more. This is when the real “Water Parade” comes in play!! The dancers will begin to shower the crowds with water and the crowds then retaliate to shoot with their water guns! See smiling faces with laughter and dancing all around!

As for parents with young children look out for the “Little Kids Area”. Or parents who would like to join the main parade there are rooms at some corners prepared. Rest assured there are rest areas for children setup, hence if parents with young children would like to have a respite from the sun during the parade, you may just pop into one of these rooms. Readied by Universal Studios Japan’s thoughtfulness for it’s littlest fans!

It is sure a highlight NOT TO BE MISSED! Not only because it’s only ONCE a day AND ONLY IN SUMMER but you can’t help but to join in the laughter, dancing and fun!! And who can resist the Minion’s colour of Yellow? Of sunshine, hope and happiness!

Hence I would say we were LUCKY! With bright blue skies and awesome sun what more can one ask for?!
