Travel agency marks silver jubilee with contest to revitalise tourism industry

APPLE Vacations is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a four-month event called “Kita Travel Hope”. Themed “Your Love Keeps Us Alive”, it hopes to bring a ray of hope to all.

Lee says Kita Travel Hope aims to awaken people’s desire to travel again.

Apple Vacations chairman Datuk Seri Lee Ee Hoe said the travel agency had always upheld these values — to be unyielding and courageous in the face of trials.

“Deprivation leads to changes, while changes lead to a way out.

“The dedication of the ‘shokunin’ (craftsman) spirit is what keeps us going in these turbulent times.

“It only takes a spark to ignite a plain; this spark, no matter how fragile, is still a ray of hope for the tourism industry.

“Let us look forward to its revitalisation when we can relive everything that travel inspires in us,” he said.

“Kita Travel Hope” aims to awaken the people’s desire to travel again.

As part of the company’s silver anniversary celebration, there will be a guess-and-win contest until Nov 30.

Participants have to stay tuned to Apple Vacations’ Facebook page (@applevacationsmy) every Monday and Tuesday to guess 25 iconic tourist destinations around the world.

Those who submit their answers through WhatsApp and guess the answers correctly stand a chance of winning prizes worth up to RM8,000.

Since its inception, Apple Vacations has a record of over one million travellers.

During the lockdown, Apple Vacations diversified its business model and expanded to provide new products and services.

These include Tool Apple Marketo, an e-commerce platform that offers customers premium imported products; Tool Apple Ticketo, a value-added ticketing service; Maruichi, a platform that runs within and outside the tourism framework; and Tool Apple Supporto, a platform that provides mutual assistance and support.
